Our Mission

Our mission is to develop initiatives and offer services to improve the lives of the people of Waimamaku.

The Wekaweka Valley Community Trust (the Weka Trust) provides support for the operating costs of Waimamaku Resource Centre (the RC). At the RC, locals come for a variety of services - for free, koha or a low cost. Some of these services include the following:

• Free wi-fi

• Computers

• Printing, photocopying and scanning

• Laminating

• Op-shop clothes, books and household items

• Assistance with using email, paying bills online and searching for information

The Weka Trust is a registered charitable trust whose sources of funding have recently come from Community Organisation Grants Scheme (COGS), Foundation North, Lotteries Commission and Pub Charity. The current trust members can be contacted via wekatrust@gmail.com and include:
